Watching the way the light shimmered, and the way the fabric flowed as models floated down the runway for Aliétte’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection was as captivating as the hidden details each garment carried. From funky organza silks to upcycled furs and draped details that reminded us of the art of dressing with intentionality.

Inspired by 70’s icons like Cher, Bianca Jagger, and Diana Ross, Jason took on the task it seems to make a collection infusing their glamour with his modernist taste. Each look made us think of how Jason may have styled the iconic glam Shero’s if their heyday was in the present 2020s where minimalist glam is King. You can take the designer out of the stylist but you can’t take the stylist of a designer, and each look has so many styling opportunities our minds are blown. The gorgeous warm/cool color mix for fall was refreshing. It was nice to see his take on fashion design in the 3rd collection and his ideal women’s style. Going from the board room to the red carpet there were looks for all occasions here.

    Details We Love

This abstract print reminiscent of wood grain lines made a statement and was a wonderful transitional piece as the show moved into its yellow palette. The high neckline and dolman sleeves are flattering and the way the fabric is cut makes sure the print flows in and out of each other in a complimentary way.

This look had a Rick Owens/Thome Browne flare to it. The styling team did a wonderful job pairing these pieces together with ruby red pointed-toe metallic heels. Equal parts business equal parts pleasure this look has so many individual styling capabilities. We love how the drapped-wrapped waistline will compliment any shape, while the pleated front gives the skirt a pop of individuality.

“For me i just wanted to have art that was mine and that was for me, uncomprimised and how i saw my women, or the world of the women I’m dressing”
